Early in the morning, at 7:00 AM, 40 hot air balloons take off from Bald Eagle Lake just south of Steamboat Springs on Hwy 40 both Saturday and Sunday. You don't want to miss this colorful photo op!!!! Wander among the balloons, talk to the pilots, learn how the balloons are inflated and take off. Transportation available to the launch site starting at 6:00 AM from the Meadows Parking lot at the corner of Mt Werner Road and Pine Grove Road. Parking VERY LIMITED at the launch site.
